In this work we present a method for CO2 plume detection that is based on refraction tomography of sparse seismic data recorded by surface distributed acoustic sensing (S-DAS) cables deployed on the seafloor. The workflow is demonstrated using a synthetic dataset modeled from a southern North Sea analogue and three different survey layouts with a decreasing number of receivers.
