Abstract (AI)
The article examines the state of scientific development of the problem of human rights communication of the victim in the criminal proceedings of Ukraine.

A victim-centered approach and improvement of procedural mechanisms are needed to implement victim communication rights in adversarial criminal process.

Communicative equality is highlighted as a fundamental value influencing criminal law/procedure rules, victim procedural activity, and communication guarantees and barriers.

The concept of victim’s procedural communication and 'human rights communication' in criminal proceedings remains insufficiently substantiated and requires further study.

The problem requires holistic integration of aspects related to protection and restoration of victim rights within criminal procedure.

The victim's right to human rights communication is defined as legal possibility to receive information, exchange information about case status, and influence proceedings to protect/restorative interests.

Ukrainian criminal proceedings prioritize protection of the victim, their rights, freedoms, and legitimate interests (Article 2 of CPC).
