Abstract (AI)
This research delves into parametric 3D modeling for arch dam based on Revit secondary development to address the complication and inefficiency in arch dam design. First, universal principles for selecting arch dam shape parameters were proposed based on the structural characteristics of arch dam and design methods of arch rings. Second, the cubic spline interpolation function was employed to fit the relationship between arch dam shape parameters and elevations. The shape parameters of arch rings at any elevation could be obtained through interpolation calculation, thus improving accuracy. Lastly, a plug-in for parametric 3D modeling of arch dam was designed using Revit API, C# programming language, the NPOI library, visual operation interface design, and a decision tree for the analysis of arch ring shape, which realized the automatic creation of 3D arch dam model and the automatic output of the results of arch dam shape parameters interpolation. The plug-in has been proven to be feasible and highly efficient. The research findings are expected to provide reference for parametric modeling of other hydraulic irregular components.
