DEVELOPMENT OF WEB-BASED INFORMATION SYSTEMS FOR COASTAL AND ISLAND RESOURCE MANAGEMENT

The Indonesia's coastal areas and islands have enormous natural resource potential, but their management is often constrained by limited information and poorly integrated systems. This research aims to develop a web-based information system that can support resource management in coastal areas and islands. The method used in this study is the Waterfall method, which includes the stages of needs analysis, design, implementation, testing, and maintenance of the system. The development results show that the information system built can present geographical data, managerial information, and recommendations related to coastal area management effectively. This system allows users to easily access information and make it more accurate data-driven decisions. Based on the tests carried out, the system has functioned well and provided significant benefits for coastal and island area managers. In conclusion, this web-based information system can improve the efficiency and effectiveness of natural resource management in coastal areas and islands, as well as contribute to sustainable development in the region.
