Abstract (AI)
Nowadays the urbanization is accelerating, the water environment problem increasingly serious, especially the flood disaster, groundwater resources development and protection problems, seriously hindering the healthy and sustainable development of the city. This paper is based on the flood geological record which is since palaeoloxodon, put forward the view of urban flood control planning and construction, and take Shandong Taian and Jinan as examples, discusses the urban development should conform to the geological environmental conditions in brief. This not only satisfy the needs of the city space, but also can guarantee the city basic geological stability and protect the water environment water resources possibly, to ensure the sustainable the city's development.
Key Findings
1
Adapting city planning to geology helps protect water environments and groundwater resources, supporting sustainable urban development.
2
Case studies of Shandong Taian and Jinan illustrate application of geology-conforming urban development principles.
3
Flood geological records (since palaeoloxodon) inform proposals for urban flood control planning and construction.
4
Urban development should conform to local geological environmental conditions to satisfy spatial needs while ensuring geological stability.
5
Urbanization exacerbates water-environment problems, particularly floods and groundwater resource challenges, which hinder sustainable city development.
