Abstract (AI)
This thesis determined reference values for ROTEM thromboelastometry during labour. The hypercoaguable state in pregnancy was confirmed, as was the correlation between some ROTEM parameters and conventional laboratory tests. The chance of abnormal coagulation values is low. In the second part the thesis investigated the effect of restrictive fluid resuscitation in women with mild postpartum haemorrhage. Restrictive fluid resuscitation is not inferior to standard therapy.
Key Findings
1
Abnormal coagulation values were uncommon during labour.
2
Reference values for ROTEM thromboelastometry during labour were established.
3
Restrictive fluid resuscitation was not inferior to standard therapy in women with mild postpartum haemorrhage.
4
Some ROTEM parameters correlated with conventional laboratory coagulation tests.
5
The hypercoagulable state of pregnancy was confirmed using ROTEM assessments.
Research Object
Labouring women and women with mild postpartum haemorrhage
