FEATURES OF THE DEPICTION OF ARCHITECTURAL AND ETHNOGRAPHIC SYMBOLS IN THE WORKS OF BAIKAL REGION ARTISTS

The article is devoted to the description of the features of architectural and ethnographic symbols represented in the works of landscape artists of the Baikal region. These symbols refer to monuments of wooden architecture and art, such as the Angarsk Village Open-Air Architectural and Ethnographic Museum and, its part Bratsk Ostrog, located in the city of Bratsk, Irkutsk Region, which are symbols of this area. The analysis of the paintings depicting the monuments of the Angarsk Village or the Bratsk Ostrog is carried out using a structural and typological approach. The Angarsk Village wooden complex belongs to the monuments of Russian wooden architecture, the history of certain buildings of which dates back to the XVIIth century. It is located in a picturesque place on the shore of the Angara River bay, which arouses great interest among people of art (artists, poets, writers) and not only, including specialists (historians, ethnographers, cultural scientists). In connection with this context, the concept of an "architectural and ethnographic symbol" is introduced. This study is based on the paintings of landscape artists of the Baikal region: Mamilov G. A., Bushkov V., Livantsov V. D., Politkovsky E. A., which are in the Bratsk City United Museum. The study results in the description of the features of the image of the Angarsk Village and the Bratsk Ostrog as symbols of the city of Bratsk in the paintings of landscape artists of the Baikal region.
