Publikace je dvacátá pátá v řadě ze série výstupů Slavica iuvenum, týká se problematiky jazykovědné, literárněvědné a translatologické komparativní slavistiky. Kolektivní monografie představuje pohled mladých slavistů na otázky související s problematikou jazyků slovanského areálu v oblasti lingvistiky, literární vědy a překladu. Monografie je společným dílem 40 autorů, obsahuje 41 kapitol (úvodní slovo a 40 odborných statí). Jednotlivé kapitoly jsou členěny do tří tematických bloků. První blok (lingvistika) zkoumá problematiku vybraných slovanských jazyků v synchronním i diachronním pohledu, druhý blok (literární věda) je věnován dílčím otázkám národních slovanských literatur, jejich autorům a vybraným dílům, třetí blok (translatologie) představuje v komparativním pojetí problematiku překladu uměleckého i odborného textu. Publikace je určena jak pedagogům a studentům slavistických studijních programů a specializací, tak i všem ostatním se zájmem o komparativní bádání v oblasti slovanských filologií.
