Abstract (AI)
Professional activity of military personnel in modern geopolitical realities takes place in extreme conditions and is accompanied by the impact on the body of military labor factors, including a vital threat and a complex of unfavorable environmental factors. One of the main tasks of the medical service of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation is to improve the rehabilitation system of military personnel in order to quickly restore health, prevent the development of stress-associated diseases, increase the performance and combat effectiveness of military personnel with maladaptive disorders, including neurotic ones. Objective. Comprehensive analysis of the effectiveness of individual rehabilitation programs for military personnel with neurotic maladaptation. Material and methods. The study included 110 patients with neurotic maladaptation, without severe somatic, mental, infectious and other pathology, with neurotic maladaptation, admitted to undergo medical treatment in the North Kazakhstan region. The duration of rehabilitation activities in the North Kazakhstan region was 20 days. The average age of patients was 33.2 ± 2.4 years. Standard MRND programs included the following correction methods. Therapeutic physical culture: morning physical exercises, therapeutic gymnastics using martial arts or hand-to-hand combat techniques, aerobic and strength health-improving physical exercise (exercise on exercise machines), therapeutic swimming, sports games: volleyball, basketball, football, gorodki, tennis. Physical treatment methods: electrosleep therapy, transcranial electroanalgesia, vibration massage relaxation, audiovisual polysensory relaxation, heliotherapy, transcranial low-frequency magnetic therapy, non-selective chromotherapy, medium and high pressure showers, contrast baths, complex-modulated low-frequency magnetic therapy, carbon dioxide baths, thalassotherapy, therapeutic massage, round-the-clock aerotherapy, heliotherapy. Psychotherapeutic treatment: rational psychotherapy, autogenic training. Results. The most effective in the rehabilitation of such patients today are modern individual programs of rehabilitation measures using virtual reality technologies and biofeedback in the conditions of a sanatorium and resort organization. Conclusion. The applied innovative hardware methods using VR technologies during psychocorrection, in combination with the work of a psychotherapist and clinical psychologist, contribute to the fastest possible increase in performance, resistance to stressful situations, training in self-regulation skills, overcoming the consequences of mental trauma, and improving sleep. The introduction of innovative MRND methods allows for a significant restoration of the psychological status of military personnel in a short time, reducing the risk of development and progression of neurotic reactions and psychological maladaptation, and reducing the time of return to a state that allows for the effective performance of military service tasks.
Key Findings
1
Introduction of innovative MRND methods significantly restores psychological status quickly, reduces risk and progression of neurotic reactions, and shortens return-to-duty time.
2
Modern individual rehabilitation programs using virtual reality technologies and biofeedback in sanatorium-resort settings were found most effective for these patients.
3
Standard MRND programs combined physical exercises, diverse physical treatment modalities, and psychotherapeutic methods like rational psychotherapy and autogenic training.
4
Study of 110 military patients with neurotic maladaptation underwent a 20-day rehabilitation program in North Kazakhstan region.
5
VR-based psychocorrection combined with psychotherapist and clinical psychologist work accelerated increases in performance, stress resistance, self-regulation training, trauma recovery, and sleep improvement.
