Abstract (AI)
We construct smooth nonsupersymmetric soliton solutions with D1-brane, D5-brane, and momentum charges in type IIB supergravity compactified on ${T}^{4}\ifmmode\times\else\texttimes\fi{}{S}^{1}$, with the charges along the compact directions. This generalizes previous studies of smooth supersymmetric solutions. The solutions are obtained by considering a known family of $U(1)\ifmmode\times\else\texttimes\fi{}U(1)$ invariant metrics, and studying the conditions imposed by requiring smoothness. We discuss the relation of our solutions to states in the CFT describing the D1-D5 system and describe various interesting features of the geometry.
Key Findings
1
Smoothness constraints applied to a known U(1)×U(1)-invariant metric family determine the constructed solutions.
2
The geometries are related to states of the conformal field theory describing the D1-D5 system, with additional distinctive geometric features analyzed.
3
The paper constructs smooth nonsupersymmetric soliton solutions carrying D1-brane, D5-brane, and momentum charges in compactified type IIB supergravity.
4
These solutions generalize earlier smooth supersymmetric geometries to the nonsupersymmetric D1-D5-P sector.
