Abstract (AI)
Abstract The primary task of the Debrecen Observatory is the most detailed, reliable and precise documentation of the solar photospheric activity. This long-term effort started with the continuation of the Greenwich photoheliograph program, this is the Debrecen Photoheliographic Data (DPD) sunspot catalogue based on ground-based observations. The profile of the work has later been extended to space-borne observations (SOHO/MDI and SDO), to magnetic fields and faculae as well as to higher temporal resolution (one hour) and nearly real-time data supply. The database also includes historical observations. The web-presentation developed for the material is easy to search and browse. We describe the main characteristics of these catalogs, and their advantages. We summarize the recent advances in the procedure of their compilation, and the available sets of the data and images.
Key Findings
1
Debrecen Observatory maintains a long-term program for highly detailed, reliable, and precise documentation of solar photospheric activity.
2
The Debrecen Photoheliographic Data catalogue continues the Greenwich photoheliograph program using ground-based sunspot observations.
3
The database incorporates historical observations and provides searchable, browsable web access to catalogues and images.
4
The paper summarizes catalogue characteristics, advantages, compilation improvements, and the available data and image collections.
5
The program expanded to SOHO/MDI and SDO space-borne observations, magnetic fields, faculae, hourly temporal resolution, and near-real-time data delivery.
