Abstract (AI)
Supplier evaluation and vendor selection are complex problems with multiple criteria. These Multiple and conflicting criteria often interact with each other, making the selection process cumbersome and challenging. Multi criterion decision-making (MCDM) techniques are used to handle these complexities, allowing consistent and effective decision-making and the selection of the best suitable supplier. This study utilizes the Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) and the Complex Proportional Assessment (COPRAS) to evaluate suppliers and select the most suitable vendors for manufacturing companies. The proposed method first determines the vendor selection criteria and then uses the AHP to assess the relative relevance of the various criteria. The COPRAS method is used next to evaluate the alternative suppliers and select the most suitable vendor. A case study demonstrates the applicability and effectiveness of the method proposed in this study. As a result of the study, it has been shown that the AHP-COPRAS integrated method is an effective method that can be used in supplier selection and the decision-making process was analyzed in detail. Especially the most suitable supplier alternative was determined for a sector that requires precision parts production. In addition, by explaining the methods step by step, it was aimed to guide them so that they can be used in similar decision problems.
