Abstract Microbial infections pose a global threat and present a major challenge to public health and welfare. Specifically, ESKAPE pathogens are the primary cause of nosocomial infections, which wreak morbidity and mortality in immune‐compromised patients, with a potential threat of antibiotic resistance. Consequently, there is an ever‐increasing impetus to discover newer inhibitors of these pathogenic strains. Herein, we report activities of bis‐purine silver gel‐like composites, 1 /PEG, 2 /PEG, 3 /PEG, 1 /PCL, and 2 /PCL, possessing antimicrobial activities against the ESKAPE pathogens. Composites 2 /PEG and 3 /PEG successfully inhibited Staphylococcus aureus initiated bacterial growth and biofilm formation on surface of interest.
