In this work, using the method of self-propagating hightemperature synthesis, ceramic composite materials were obtained, consisting of a matrix based on stabilized zirconium oxide with particles of titanium diboride and silicon dioxide distributed in it. Yttrium oxide was used as a stabilizing additive; the work studied its effect on the phase composition and structure of the resulting materials during the SHS process. It has been shown that the introduction of up to 5.6 % wt. Y 2 O 3 increases the combustion temperature of the materials under study, and also leads to a decrease in the amount of monoclinic modification of ZrO 2 . Ill. 4. Ref. 41. Tab. 1.
