Abstract (AI)
The realization of sustainable development concept is related primarily to the formation of the systemic vision for the people on the habitat in relation to the results of human activities. The solution of that task is required the focused action for training, forming the competences for sustainable development through the inclusion of elements of ecological knowledge in the programs of academic disciplines, and the organization of interdisciplinary connections between these elements. The description of concept of constructing the system of enhancing teachers' qualifications at schools and colleges in the field of the ecological education. The original logistics model of sustainable development constitutes the basis of the system that reflected the dynamics of this process, as well as enabling the identification of critical contradiction between different aspects of sustainable development in order to create the methods of its eliminating. The system of methods and principles is formulated to the problem of sustainable development with the application of proposed process approach. It is proved that main method of sustainable development is the method of competences’ formation. The analysis of modern methods, techniques and exercises for competences’ formation has carried out. The effectiveness of distance education in combination with active learning technologies is presented in this paper. Principles of formation of competences for sustainable development underlying the developed distance refresher training are systematized. An example of the existing refresher training for teachers at schools and colleges in the field of the education for sustainable development is proposed that could be used as an example at the creation of same training considering the local ecological features and problems. The way how to adapt the developed courses to the specifics of concrete regions. The presented courses are detailed to the level of studied topics. Each topic has extensive list of recommended literature. The areas for developing the presented concept of professional development of teachers in the field of ecological education, i.e. the specification of problems and tasks of its process, as well as the development of the competences for searching new effective methods to solve the problems of sustainable development.
