continuous-variable quantum neural networksextension of classical neural networksphotonic implementationquantum machine learningquantum photonics
Neural networks and quantum computers are both key technologies for the next generation of computing. This paper demonstrates that these two types of computation can be executed with the same physical platform, based on photonics. This provides a natural extension of classical machine learning algorithms into the quantum realm.
1
Neural networks and quantum computers can be implemented on the same photonic physical platform.
2
Photonic continuous-variable systems enable executing both classical neural networks and quantum computations together.
3
The proposed approach naturally extends classical machine learning algorithms into the quantum domain.
